Pavlok 2 - Change Your Habits with Electric Shock

Hey guys! We've been CRAZY hard at work building the new Pavlok 2. HUGE updates.

Right now I'm going to talk about hardware.

But very soon this/next week, I'm going to be talking about Volts.

First: The device update

WOO HOO IT (is almost) READY

Pavlok 2 has been coming along -- the hardware is working great, the firmware has been a bit slow. But it's all coming together, I've been wearing the Pavlok 2 for several days, and our first few DNA users will be getting theirs to test out this week.

The goal is: Ship DNA users their devices in the next two weeks. Make sure everything is working. Prepare everyone else to receive their devices in late October/early early November. (possibly earlier). And begin prepping to launch Pavlok 2 and Volts to the world.

DNA Users especially: Pay attention to Volts. Volts are a digital currency that rewards you for healthy behaviors. You're going to get a big bonus because you deserve it :)

And everyone else as well, Volts are becoming real. Can't wait.

I wanted to give you a quick update on the status of the Pavlok 2.

We continue to make great progress and our working tirelessly to get you your Pavlok 2 as soon as possible. Right now we estimate all backers will have their Pavlok 2 shipped within the next 6 weeks. Of course, we are doing everything we can get you your Pavlok 2 sooner.

Our new and improved watch clip and Milanese band have arrived and they look awesome.

In addition, our app and firmware continue to function nicely and we’re very very close to getting things perfect.

I think you will be blown away with the new app functionality and our newly released ‘Volts’ in app currency.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a quick update for our Pavlok 2 Indiegogo backers.

Hardware Updates:

The hardware for the Pavlok 2 is significantly improved over the original Pavlok which allows us tremendous flexibility as Pavlok 2 continues to improve and grow.

The hardware continues to work as expected and we have found no major issues after running dozens and dozens of tests.

Our over the air firmware update works well, as does the button press. The Pavlok 2 hand detection is also working great. The double tap feature continues to need some refining but we are very very close as far as hardware goes.

We also just got our beautiful perimeter bands which are sleek and comfortable, which is something you all have been wanting for a while.

Firmware Updates:

We are using a programming called C which is very customizable

We are creating an application based system so that developers can create initiate firmware and applications that can work with Pavlok 2.

The format is very similar to the Pebble smartwatch which allows applications to be installed, and scale as Pavlok 2 continues to grow.

Once we ship to our DNA backers, it shouldn't be more than 3-4 weeks before your Pavlok 2 arrives at your door.

Software Updates:

The software behind the Pavlok 2 is amazing, and I'm so proud of our team for redesigning the interface from the ground up. Not only does our app look great, but it's also much more intuitive to use, and allows for developers to develop the app.

We have also created an in-app point system (currency) for doing healthy positive habits.

You will be then able to use your in app currency to unlock new features. The more positive behaviors you do, the more currency you'll earn.

Accessory Updates:

I think you'll be blown away by our milanese bands that are made with magnets and incredibly durable and strong.

We've also recently received our very sleek white Pavlok bands that were one of our most popular requests.

TLDR: We're doing our best to get your Pavlok 2 shipped to you by the original Indiegogo date sometime in September.

Hey there! Maneesh here, CEO of Pavlok.

I wanted to take a moment to give you a quick update on the status of your Pavlok 2.

• The Pavlok 2 hardware is working as expected and we continue to run tests to ensure there are no bugs.
• The Pavlok 2 software is also running smoothly, and we can’t wait to share the new features and UI with you.
• We've been slowed down by some issues on the firmware (the 'software' encoded on the Pavlok 2 hardware itself). We are working hard hard harddddd to get them sorted out

We want to make sure the product we ship to DNA customers has a few core features

• [Stage 1 - COMPLETED] - Basic functions work as expected
• [Stage 2 ] As good as the regular Pavlok
• [Stage 3- COMPLETED]OTA (over the air) update works. 
  • We already completed this, but I want to absolutely make sure the OTA is working with the Stage 2 firmware before we ship to DNA customers.

We will likely have a short delay on delivering the product, but it won't be anything crazy.
